After completing the design of the cards, I moved on to developing the concept of the boards on which the game is played. The main inspiration came from the boards used in RPG games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Cyberpunk RED. I wanted to convey the atmosphere of the world with the help of details and deepen the player's immersion.
The board depicting the heroes' camp was meant to show the helplessness of the races of the Milky Way in the face of an invading alien nation. The ruined infrastructure, dilapidated technology and makeshift shelters were meant to build an atmosphere of desperation and struggle for survival. In turn, I designed the area belonging to the Reapers as a space full of fire, danger and anxiety - it was to contrast with the place of the heroes both aesthetically and symbolically.
